Author Note
My name is Bryan Trent and I'm this site's owner and admin. I served in the Chile Osorno Mission from 1993-1995 and love telling missionary stories. So, I decided to make a blog to share them before they are forgotten, and to allow other former missionaries to do the same. This blog site is completely FREE for use as a resource and to share your stories as long as you are not publishing content for profit. Easily share posts and content on social networking websites like Facebook and Twitter, or send content via email. Please visit the "Policies" tab before posting, and the FAQ tab if you have any questions. Refrain from negative or distasteful comments and foul language please.
About
Like many people I know, I left my mission many years ago with a head full of wonderful memories about the experiences I had and the people I served and worked with in southern Chile. Throughout my mission I had spiritual experiences, funny moments, things I learned and grew from, and great memories about people I knew and places I visited. Over the years these special memories of mine have turned into stories about my adventures as a missionary, and they have frequented family home evenings, home teaching visits, ward campouts and class discussions on many occasions. I have also found myself, on occasion, searching the web for other people’s mission stories to enhance my talks and lessons.
Ultimately, after having created a separate memory blog where people can share their childhood and lifetime stories and memories, I had the bright idea of also creating this LDS Mission Memory blog. I love reading about and listening to other people’s missionary stories and thought that this would be a superb medium to allow the dissemination of mission stories straight from former missionaries themselves.
Please help to support my goals for this blog site, which are:
- To continuously host this blog site completely FREE for its users.
- To provide users with an easy to use method of posting and sharing their mission stories and missionary memories.
- To provide users with a simple way of searching and obtaining stories about people’s missions for their own edification, and/or for use in family or church meetings and activities.
