Like many peo­ple I know, I left my mis­sion many years ago with a head full of won­der­ful mem­o­ries about the expe­ri­ences I had and the peo­ple I served and worked with in south­ern Chile. Through­out my mis­sion I had spir­i­tual expe­ri­ences, funny moments, things I learned and grew from, and great mem­o­ries about peo­ple I knew and places I vis­ited. Over the years these spe­cial mem­o­ries of mine have turned into sto­ries about my adven­tures as a mis­sion­ary, and they have fre­quented fam­ily home evenings, home teach­ing vis­its, ward cam­pouts and class dis­cus­sions on many occa­sions. I have also found myself, on occa­sion, search­ing the web for other people’s mis­sion sto­ries to enhance my talks and lessons.

Ulti­mately, after hav­ing cre­ated a sep­a­rate mem­ory blog where peo­ple can share their child­hood and life­time sto­ries and mem­o­ries, I had the bright idea of also cre­at­ing this LDS Mis­sion Mem­ory blog. I love read­ing about and lis­ten­ing to other people’s mis­sion­ary sto­ries and thought that this would be a superb medium to allow the dis­sem­i­na­tion of mis­sion sto­ries straight from for­mer mis­sion­ar­ies themselves.

Please help to sup­port my goals for this blog site, which are:

1. To con­tin­u­ously host this blog site com­pletely FREE for its users.
2. To pro­vide users with an easy to use method of post­ing and shar­ing their mis­sion sto­ries and mis­sion­ary memories.
3. To pro­vide users with a sim­ple way of search­ing and obtain­ing sto­ries about people’s mis­sions for their own edi­fi­ca­tion, and/or for use in fam­ily or church meet­ings and activities.

Poli­cies on Post­ing and Com­ment­ing: To keep this blog fam­ily friendly I have imposed sim­ple poli­cies relat­ing to blog posts and com­ments. These should be easy to fol­low for most of you. Essen­tially, keep com­ments “G” or “PG” rated, refrain from foul lan­guage and don’t post any­thing degrad­ing or offen­sive.
